Flower Mound Symphony OrchestraThe Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra of approximately 55 professional and amateur volunteer musicians. The FMSO performs the standard professional orchestral repertoire, as well as pop and jazz. Each season it presents a series of formal concerts featuring guest soloists, new compositions, and favorites from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. In addition to these formal concerts, the Symphony Orchestra also plays an annual winter holiday concert with choir, an Independence Day concert, and an annual Children's Interactive Concert. The Symphony Orchestra consists of musicians from Flower Mound, Highland Village, Lewisville, and other Dallas / Fort Worth area communities. They volunteer their time and considerable talents for the benefit of cultural awareness in the community and for their own enjoyment of playing in an ensemble. They are supplemented as needed by paid professionals.
